Cheer camp

Lakeside High School cheerleading will play host to a "kiddie" camp Aug. 29 at the high school. The camp is open to participants pre-K to eighth grade and will run from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Cost is $30, and includes lunch and a T-shirt. Participants are asked to dress in shorts, T-shirts and tennis shoes, and may bring labeled water bottles. For information, call Elizabeth McDaniel (706) 863-0027.

Golf tournament

Rowing club

The Augusta Junior Rowing Team is accepting members. No experience is necessary and potential members can participate for two weeks before deciding whether to join. Practices are held Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 4-6:30 p.m. at The Boathouse on Riverfront Drive in Augusta. The team is open to ages 13-18. Conditioning camp

Summer conditioning workouts will be held at Blanchard Park, off Belair Road, through August. The workouts are open to ages 10 and older and are free. The workouts will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 p.m. and Saturdays at 10 a.m., lasting through the end of August. For information, call Jim Siple at (706) 860-1592.
