Grovetown Wal-Mart seeks employees

A special location has been set up for those seeking jobs at the new Wal-Mart in Grovetown.

Wal-Mart executives created a temporary hiring center at 102 S. Belair Road, Suite 5, Martinez. It will remain open to potential applicants until Sept. 20, about the same time the store is scheduled to open, store manager Dale Wooten said through a publicist.

The retailer is hiring 275 employees for the Grovetown store, situated near Lewiston Road and Interstate 20.

"We are excited to add this Wal-Mart to Grovetown and bring good jobs with career opportunities to the area," the manager said.

He said he needed to fill jobs in all areas of the store, including supervisory positions.

The hiring center is open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. until noon Saturdays.

Employees are needed to start work in September to prepare the store for its grand opening.
