Youth soccer

Softball qualifier

USSSA Southeast Military Softball program will play host to the Military States World Qualifier Saturday and Sunday at Diamond Lakes Park. The tournament will feature men's Varsity A, B, Intramural and Women's Varsity. Entry fee is $245, which includes a three-game guarantee, balls and a paid berth to Military Worlds in Panama City, Fla. Team registration is open through Wednesday. Softball tryout

Greenbrier High School will hold a softball tryout 6:30 p.m. Aug. 3 at the Greenbrier softball field. All participants must bring a copy of their physical and proof of insurance. For information, call (706) 650-6040, ext. 4150.

Volleyball tryouts

Greenbrier High School will hold volleyball tryouts at its gym Aug. 3, from 9 a.m. until noon, and Aug. 4-5, from 2:45-5 p.m. Participants must attend all three dates, bring a copy of their physical and show proof of insurance. For information, call (706) 650-6040, ext. 4150.

Harlem High seeks football players

Students zoned to attend Harlem High School in the fall who want to play football are asked to call coach Jimmie Lewis at (706) 564-4712 for summer workout information.

Grovetown High football combine

The Southeastern Coaches Combine will be held July 27 at Grovetown High School. Players in grades eight through 12 zoned for Grovetown High School are welcome to attend. Coast Guard Auxiliary meets
