Dessert concert

Washington Isaac Holmes, the artistic director of the Columbia County Choral Society, will perform in a dessert concert at 4 p.m. today at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 3551 Wheeler Road, Augusta. Tickets cost $12 and are available at the church office. For information, call (706) 736-4575.

Lake ministry

St. John United Methodist Church's summer lake ministry is held each Sunday at 8:45 a.m. through Aug. 30 at the church's lake site near Modoc, S.C., with nondenominational services led by area ministers and lay leaders. Visitors may drive to the church's camp off U.S. Highway 28 (Furys Ferry Road) or go by boat.

Caregiver class

The six weekly classes of the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service seminar, Powerful Tools for Caregivers, will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays from July 6-Aug. 10. It costs $30. For information, call Betty English at (706) 821-2356, or e-mail benglish@uga.edu.

Art classes

Prayer breakfast

The Augusta Mayors Prayer Breakfast will be at 8 a.m. Tuesday at Bible Fellowship Church, 3701 Old Petersburg Road, Martinez. For reservations, e-mail Karyn Nixon at knixon@augustaga.gov.
