Free movie

Columbia County's free Family Movie Matinees continue with Kung Fu Panda at 1 p.m. today at the Jabez Sanford Hardin Performing Arts Center at the Columbia County Library. For information, call (706) 312-7192.

Wet Wednesdays

Mosaic United Methodist Church, on Columbia Industrial Boulevard, holds "Wet, Wild Wednesdays" each Wednesday in June from 6-7:30 pm. for children ages 3 to fifth grade. Supper is provided; children should come prepared to get wet. To register, e-mail hugginlady04@yahoo.com.

Food drive

Golden Harvest Food Bank will hold Rock Out for Hunger at Earth Fare in Evans from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, with music by the Mason Jars. Earth Fare and Organizing for America also will hold a food drive from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. For information, call (706) 736-1199.

Riverkeeper

Savannah Riverkeeper Inc. will hold its quarterly meeting and cookout from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Julian Smith Barbecue Pit. Cost is $5 in advance, $10 at the door or free with a side dish. For information, go to www.savannahriverkeeper.org.

Caregiver class

Friday is the deadline to register for the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service seminar Powerful Tools for Caregivers. The six weekly classes for family caregivers will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays from July 6-Aug. 10. Cost is $30 per person. ETC. classes

ETC., at 212 N. Louisville St., Harlem, is holding classes including a ladies night out jewelry-making party, 7-9 p.m. Friday; gourd painting, 10 a.m. to noon Saturday; acrylic and oil painting, 10 a.m. to noon Monday; a kid's art camp, 9 a.m. to noon July 6-10; and watercolor painting, 10 a.m. to noon July 18. Christian dances

The Christian Social Organization for Single Adults sponsors dances from 7-11 p.m. Saturdays at the Ballroom Dance Center, 525 Grand Slam Drive, Evans, off Evans to Locks Road. Admission is $6 for members, $8 for guests. For information, call Theresa Thigpen at (706) 863-9262.
