The Augusta chapter of the Military Order of World Wars will hold its final chapter meeting of the year at 12:30 p.m. today at Washington Hall on Washington Road, Augusta, with a performance by the Lakeside High School JROTC Cadet Drill Team and guest speaker Lt. Gen. Sam Wetzel, national chapter president.

CASA training

Two training sessions will be held in June for volunteers for Child Enrichment's Court Appointed Special Advocate program, starting Monday and June 22. Call (706) 737-4631.

Sharon VBS

Sharon Baptist Church, at 6262 Cobbham Road, in Winfield, will hold vacation Bible school for ages 4 through 12th grade from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Writers meet

Reed Creek Park

Reed Creek Park will hold events during June for ages 4-11. A second session of preschool programs for ages 4 and older will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday-Friday, at a cost of $60 per child. A free nature club for ages 9-11 will meet from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays. Call (706) 210-4027.

Alzheimer's group

An Alzheimer's caregiver support group meets at 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday each month at Brandon Wilde. Call (706) 854-3519.

Wildwood closure

Wildwood Park, off Washington Road in Appling, will be closed Monday-Wednesday while a new entrance to the park is constructed, and is scheduled to reopen Thursday.

Sierra Club
