Lake ministry
St. John United Methodist Church's summer lake ministry will be held each Sunday through Aug. 30 at 8:45 a.m. at the church's lake site near Modoc, S.C., with nondenominational services led by area ministers and lay leaders. Visitors may drive to the church's camp off U.S. Highway 28 (Furys Ferry Road) or go by boat.
Advocate training

Reed Creek events

Wildwood closure
Wildwood Park, off Washington Road in Appling, will be closed June 15-17 while a new entrance to the park is constructed, and is scheduled to reopen June 18.
