Golf tournaments

- The Evans High School football program and Touchdown Club will host its third-annual golf tournament June 13 at Bartram Trail Golf Club. Hole sponsorships are available for $100 and other donations will be accepted. - The inaugural Grovetown High School Warrior Golf Classic will be held June 20 at Bartram Trail Golf Course. Shotgun start is at 1 p.m. Cost is $75 per person or $300 per team, with proceeds benefitting the Grovetown High School Athletic Booster Foundation. - The second annual Larry Bray Memorial Golf Tournament will be held June 21 at West Lake Country Club. A reception for participants will be held June 20 at 6 p.m. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Boat ramp closings

The boat ramps at Wildwood Park will be closed Saturday and Sunday for drag boat races. The closures will be in effect from early morning until the end of racing each day. The cove the ramps extend into will be closed to boat traffic during those dates.

Softball tourney

The USSSA Southeast Military Softball Program will hold the regional championship June 20-21 at Sweetwater Park in Thomson. The tournament features men's Varsity A, B, Intramural, and Women's Varsity softball. The entry fee of $245 includes a three-game guarantee, free softballs and a paid berth to the world qualifier. Team registration will be open through June 18. All military, retiree, Department of Defense, dependents and military contractors are eligible to participate.
