Softball tournament

The USSSA Southeast Military Softball Program will hold its regional championship June 20-21 at Sweetwater in Thomson. The tournament features men's Varsity A, B, Intramural, and Women's Varsity Softball. The entry fee of $245 includes a three-game guarantee, softballs and a berth to the world qualifier. Team registration is open through June 18.

Harlem High seeks football players
Students zoned to attend Harlem High School in the fall who want to play football are asked to call coach Jimmie Lewis at (706) 564-4712 for summer workout information.
Coaches Combine set for Grovetown
The Southeastern Coaches Combine will be July 27 at Grovetown High School. Players in eighth to 12th grades zoned for Grovetown High School are welcome to attend. Cost is $15 and due the day of the combine. Register at www.coachescombine.com. Information is also available on Grovetown High School's Web site.
Canoe cruise
Mistletoe State Park will hold a two-hour guided night canoe cruise starting at 7:30 p.m. June 5. The cruise is limited to six canoes, with three people per canoe. Cost is $30 per person plus a $3 parking fee. Canoes, paddles and other equipment are provided. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Mistletoe State Park. For information, call (706) 541-0321.

- The inaugural Grovetown High School Warrior Golf Classic will be June 20 at Bartram Trail Golf Course. Shotgun start is at 1 p.m. Cost is $75 per person or $300 per team, with proceeds benefiting the Grovetown High School Athletic Booster Foundation. - The Augusta Choral Society will sponsor a golf tournament benefit on June 1 at Belle Meade Country Club in Thomson. The format will be Lauderdale/Best Ball. A new Dodge truck is the hole-in-one prize.
