Far be it from me and tens of millions of others to say "I told you so," but Barack Obama is really starting to show what he is made of and where his priorities are, and, what he thinks of us.
Experts from the New York Psychiatric Institute are using a $400,000-plus grant from the National Institutes of Health's National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism to help fine-tune HIV prevention programs - in Argentina.
Essentially, NIH is paying researchers to tour six bars in Buenos Aires to find out why gay men engage in risky sexual behavior while drunk. This is probably something that the media's darling rescue worker could have vetoed.
So, just where did Obama trim some fat? His proposed budget calls for cutting the Public Safety Officers' Death Benefits Program from $110 million to $60 million. Yet the Justice Department tells us that no one will lose benefits. I'll buy that, just as the media and Obama-can-do-no-wrong groupies purchased the line he uttered about his stimulus plan containing no special projects, i.e., pork.
Barack Obama's first 100 days in office included trillions upon trillions of dollars in new spending; a record. He authorized our money going to ACORN, to study the heavenly aroma emanated by pigs, to study gay men in bars on another continent, and the list goes on. Yet he cuts funding, almost in half, for the families of slain police/law enforcement officers?
That's Barack Obama, folks. His loathing of the law from his street thug community organizer days apparently is still near and dear to his heart-like muscle.
Oh he has a heart, but it's devoted to him. Police officers are on call 24/7 to give their lives for us, bottom line. They are not paid much because their desire to serve others is taken advantage of by bureaucrats who set the pay scale. How dare this president belittle their survivors in such a way?
Mr. Obama, you might want to call Jeremiah Wright and pray that your Secret Service detail will not think twice about jumping in front of a bullet.
