Harlem High seeks football players

Students zoned to attend Harlem High School in the fall who want to play football are asked to call coach Jimmie Lewis at (706) 564-4712 for summer workout information.

Canoe cruise

Mistletoe State Park will hold a two-hour guided night canoe cruise starting at 7:30 p.m. on June 5. The cruise is limited to six canoes, with three people per canoe. Cost is $30 per person plus a $3 parking fee. Canoes, paddles and other equipment is provided. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Mistletoe State Park. For information, call (706) 541-0321.

Golf tournaments

- The Columbia County Exchange Club Golf Day, benefiting children with retinoblastoma (eye cancer), will be held May 18 at Goshen Plantation Golf Club. The cost is $75 a player, $300 per team, $100 to sponsor a hole and $20 per mulligan.
