Two homes burglarized
A Martinez man called police Tuesday after discovering that someone had broken into his home on Cammaron Way.
His front door was slightly open and the glass in his back door was shattered. The house had been locked.
A 42-inch plasma television, a Sony Playstation 3 game console and a camera were stolen from the house.
Police found what appeared to be fingerprints on items in the house.
As police were speaking with neighbors, they noticed that the back door of a house next-door was damaged, and they called the owners.
A Hewlett-Packard computer, a Microsoft Xbox 360 game console, a digital camera, and an MP3 player were among items missing from the neighbor's home.
West Lake vehicles vandalized at shop
A West Lake Country Club security officer said Tuesday that someone had flattened the tires of service equipment at the club's maintenance shop.
He said that the tires were last seen intact about 5 p.m. Monday and were found damaged about 6 the next morning.
The tires looked as though they had been stabbed or cut on the side. A beer bottle was found at the golf course's entrance, which was not unusual, the security officer said.
