Community provided 'source of strength' after son's suicide

We want to thank the community for such a remarkable outpouring of love, comfort and support following the tragic suicide of our son, Jordan.

The students and faculty at Harlem High have become a source of our strength during an unspeakably wrenching time, and they will never fully know how much we appreciate them.

Every day, we laugh and cry and savor the continuing evidence that Jordan was adored and that he gave so much acceptance and vitality to those around him.

We are devastated by his loss. We are also awed by the affection and generosity of those in our community who knew him well and also many who only met him once yet were moved to reach out to us because of his impact on them.

Thank you all dearly. He will be forever in our hearts.
