Show to feature merchandise, kids' activities

The CSRA RV and Boat Show will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at Wildwood Park in Appling.

Wildwood Park program coordinator Jeb Bell III said he thinks the show is the first of its kind in the area.

"There had been a few boat shows and things like that, but nothing for the whole CSRA, nothing like what we're trying to do," Bell said.

The show will feature merchandise on display from several area dealerships, including Hayes Marine, Aiken Motorcycle, Augusta Marine, Lincolnton Marine and Wahoo Docks.

Also, nonprofit organizations such as the National Rifle Association and Ducks Unlimited will be on hand at the event.

Bell said a few businesses will give boat rides to guests and prospective buyers.

The event will include activities for children. Inflatables, a rock-climbing wall and a smoke house brought by Martinez-Columbia Fire Rescue personnel will be available.

The first 100 people in the park will receive a goody bag.
