University grads

Matthew W. Freck , of Grovetown, graduated from Kettering University in Flint, Mich., in December 2008 with a masters in business administration.

The following local students graduated from Excelsior College: Zachary Bruce Ensminger , of Grovetown, has earned a bachelor of science; John Glaeser , of Augusta, has earned a bachelor of science; David F. Wilson , of Augusta, has earned a bachelor of science; and Angela K. Bragg , of Martinez, has earned an associate in science in nursing.

Honors List

Cadet Luke George , a fifth-grader at Howe Military School in Indiana, has been named to the Principal's List for the fourth six-week grading period of the 2008-09 school year. Cadet George is the son of Dr. Ruth George of Evans. He has attended Howe Military School since December 2008.

University honors

Megan Dexter , of Martinez, has been named to the winter quarter Dean's List at Augusta Technical College.

Nathan A. Whitelaw , of Evans, has been named to the fall 2008 Dean's List at Virginia Tech. He is a junior majoring in mechanical engineering.

Samuel Gaston , of Evans, has been named to the Dean's List at Georgia Southern University for the 2008-09 fall semester.

Mary Elizabeth Green , of Martinez, daughter of Donnie Green of Martinez, and Nicole Elizabeth Moody of Grovetown, daughter of Ron and LaCinda Moody of Augusta, have been named to the 2008 Fall President's List for demonstrating outstanding academic achievement.
