Army Reserve Pvt. Raven K. Harper has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia. She is the daughter of Jenies Griffin, of Thomson, and is a 2008 graduate of Thomson High School.

Army National Guard Pfc. Nicholas D. Jefferson has graduated from Basic Combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. He is the son of Melissa Jefferson, of Martinez, and a 2007 graduate of Lakeside High School.

Navy Seaman Recruit Thomas W. Harris , son of Martha S. Buchanan of Augusta, and Eugene T. Harris, of Grovetown, recently completed Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Harris is a 2002 graduate of Greenbrier High School.
