Re Barry Paschal's April 8 column, "New law nails cheats? Nope":
Wonder what makes some of the House or Senate folks think that they are above the law and don't have to pay income tax? State Sen. Eric Johnson needs to get some "backbone" and stand up to them. If it violated their "right to due process," I wonder if they would be so fast to accuse the voters of the same thing if we did not pay our federal income tax? I think a list of their names should be accessible to the public.
If my memory serves me correctly, a lot of Obama's appointees have failed to pay their income taxes until they were appointed to a position. This should be one of the things required before they are even suggested for a position, just like the president elect must meet certain requirements before he/she can run for that position.
I really hope Gov. Sonny Perdue signs Senate Bill 168.
