Youth soccer

The GA-SC Bulls Soccer Club will hold tryouts for its upcoming season competing in the U.S. Club Soccer Southeast Regional Summer League. The final day of tryouts is today, from 6-7:30 p.m., at North Augusta's Hammonds Ferry Soccer Complex. For information, visit www.ga-scbulls.com.

The GA-SC Bulls Soccer Club, along with the Columbia County Recreation Department, will offer a Bulls Junior Soccer Academy for ages 5-7 at Blanchard Woods Park April 15. Cost is $65 per player.

Tennis tournament

The 2009 Banana Open Tennis Tournament will be held April 16-19 at Petersburg Racquet Club. The tournament features men's and women's singles, doubles and mixed doubles in 2.5-5.0 divisions. Baseball tryout

The Sonic Blast 14-and-under Major tournament baseball team is seeking two players with pitching experience (preferably high school or middle school experience) for the spring/summer 2009 season. Players cannot turn 15 years old before May 1.

Basketball camp

Greenbrier High School will hold summer basketball camps in two sessions. Session I is open to boys and girls in grades 2-5 and will be held June 1-3 at Stallings Island Middle School from 8-11 a.m. Cost is $60. Session II is open to boys and girls in grades 6-8 and will be held July 27-30 at Greenbrier Middle School. Cost is $70. For information, e-mail Dana Bull at dana.bull@ccboe.net.

Grovetown High School meetings

Football practice for Grovetown High will start at 4 p.m. April 20 at Grovetown Middle School and continue until May 1. Prospective players should contact coach Rodney Holder at rholder@ccboe.net.
