Youth lacrosse

Marshall Family Y is holding registration until March 30 for boys and girls ages 9-15. A free clinic will be held Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Augusta Jewish Community Center at 898 Weinberger Way. The season will begin in April. Participants can register at the Marshall Family Y or by visiting www.thefamilyy.org.

Free-throw contest

The Walk for Autism Free-Throw Contest will be held at 10 a.m. March 28 at Evans Middle School. Cost is $8 per person. The person who makes the most consecutive free throws will win a Nintendo Wii. For information or to purchase tickets, call Mike Selitto at (706) 664-7244.

T-ball registration

Marshall Family Y is registering participants for its T-ball school (ages 4-5) and T-ball league (ages 6-7) until March 28. Players can register at Marshall Family Y or www.thefamilyy.org. Cost for the school is $40 for members and $60 for non-members. Cost for the league is $55 for members and $75 for non-members. Participants must bring their own baseball gloves. 3-on-3 tournament

Boating course

Savannah River Sail and Power Squadron will offer a five-part America's Boating Course on March 29, April 2, 9 and 16. Youth soccer

The GA-SC Bulls Soccer Club will hold tryouts for its upcoming season competing in the U.S. Club Soccer Southeast Regional Summer League. The tryouts will run from March 29 to April 1, from 6-7:30 p.m. at North Augusta's Hammonds Ferry Soccer Complex. For information, visit www.ga-scbulls.com.

Humana Military Healthcare Services will hold the 13th annual Fisher House Golf Tournament on Friday at Gordon Lakes Golf Course. Day-of registration will cost $75 per player or $300 per team. Baseball tryouts

The Sonic Blast 14-and-under Major tournament team is seeking two players with pitching experience (preferably high school or middle school) for the spring/summer 2009 season.
