Little League signups extended
Martinez-Evans Little League has extended registration for the 2009 season until Feb. 28. Children ages 4-15 who live in Columbia County are eligible to register to play baseball and/or girls softball. Players outside Columbia County might also be eligible. Registration will be held at Kelley Park from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Saturday and Feb. 28. Grovetown High football meetings

Humana Military Healthcare Services will hold the 13th annual Fisher House Golf Tournament on March 20 at Gordon Lakes Golf Course. Early registration is $65 per player or $260 per team. Day-of registration will cost $75 per player or $300 per team. Participants must register by March 13 to pay the early registration fee. Golfers will sign in at 11 a.m. and lunch will precede a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. Mulligans will be available for purchase.

The Sonic Blast 14-and-under Major tournament baseball team is seeking two players with pitching experience (preferably high school or middle school experience) for the spring/summer 2009 season.
