Regular taxpayers couldn't get away with cheating on taxes

Democrat motto: Do As I Say; Not As I Do.

It is a fact that so-called "mean-spirited" conservatives donate more generously to charities than "good-hearted" liberals. We know Joe Biden, who thinks it is our patriotic duty to pay higher taxes, gave a mere $300 a year to charities for the past 10 years.

So, why does the public think liberals are more caring than conservatives? It's simple. While conservatives quietly donate their own money for programs that help the disadvantaged, liberals publicly advocate for funding various programs with other people's money in the form of tax dollars.

In recent weeks, Democrats have been exposed for how insincere they are when it comes to their tax policies. As hard as they have advocated for higher taxes and fought gallantly against any tax cuts in the past, it seems they are not so willing to pay their fair share of taxes.

We have a Treasury secretary who failed to pay more than $30,000 in Social Security taxes and deducted his child's "sleepaway camp" as a business expense. We have a former Democrat senate minority leader who failed to pay more than $100,000 in taxes.

As a taxpayer I would like to know why the IRS failed to assess tax penalties to these tax cheats. Regular taxpayers would never get away without very stiff penalties. While average Americans are saddled with high taxes, the privileged ruling class exempts themselves from the rules they impose on us. Yes, President Obama. It's the change we can believe in.
