Megan R. Jackson-Cheatham has been selected by the Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society for membership in the local chapter at the University of Georgia. Megan is a graduate of Lakeside High School and the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Morakingo Toney. She is a business administration major and is planning a career as a business financial planner.

A Christmas Carol was presented Dec. 15 in two performances for the students at Blue Ridge Elementary and for parents in the evening. There were 134 pupils from the five fifth-grade classes at Blue Ridge in the performance. Christine McCollum was the drama director, and Margaret Wiggins was the musical director.
