Army Pfc. Rakebriel D. Maxie has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson. She is the daughter of Marilyn Maxie, of Evans.

Army National Guard Pvt. Brandon K. Sauls has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson. He is the son of Tammy Sprouse of Grovetown, and grandson of Martha Sauls of Grovetown. Sauls is a 2008 graduate of Greenbrier High School.
