Dressing up as your favorite vampire and discussing the book Twilight is on the agenda for the Columbia County Library's Twilight Extravaganza.

The bestselling Stephenie Meyer novels chronicling the life of a young girl who falls in love with a vampire has become a huge hit with the young adult crowd.
On Friday, Summit Entertainment will release a movie based on Meyer's first novel in the series -- Twilight .
To celebrate the film's release, the Columbia County Library will hold the Twilight Extravaganza at 3 p.m. Nov. 23.
Activities at the event include a costume contest, an essay contest and a trivia contest based on the book and the movie, said Christy Taylor-Pruitt, the young adult librarian.
Prizes will be awarded.
The event is free and for ages 12-18.
