County's first black elected official 'is a true inspiration to all'

Thanks for publishing Barry Paschal's Nov. 12 column on Mary Sanders.

Ms. Sanders is a true inspiration to all. She was my elementary principal at North Harlem Elementary. She is loved by all, black or white, Republican or Democrat, no matter.

Ms. Sanders may not admit to it because she always has given credit to others, but Barack Obama could learn a few things from her that he really needs to know in order to be an effective leader in unifying our nation.

Congratulations to her on all she has accomplished in her career in education and in life. She is loved and appreciated by many!
