Last Week's Picks 5-0
//
Total for Season 31-5
Evans (9-0, 8-0) vs. ARC (6-3, 6-2)
Last Week: Evans topped Cross Creek 35-6; ARC lost to Hephzibah 23-0
The Knights locked up the region title when Richmond Academy got thumped by Hephzibah 23-0 last week, but Evans still has plenty to play for. They have a chance to close out a perfect 10-0 regular season, and they also want to head into the playoffs with some momentum. They should be able to do both this week.
Evans 23, ARC 10
Greenbrier (1-8, 0-6) vs. Redan (2-6-1, 2-4)
Last Week: Greenbrier lost to Stephenson 64-6; Redan fell to M.L. King 42-7
The 'Pack have had a year they would just as soon forget. They have allowed 44.7 points per game in their six region contests. Redan has not been so great either. They have yielded 40.7 points per game in their six losses, but they should be able to handle the 'Pack.
Redan 27, Greenbrier 10
Lakeside (6-3, 5-3) at Josey (2-7, 2-6)
Last Week: Lakeside beat Butler 42-6; Josey lost to Harlem 41-20
The Panthers have been on a tear, winning three straight and outscoring those opponents 97-19. It is a shame they likely will miss the postseason. They should be able to get their seventh win this week, but they also need Cross Creek to upset Hephzibah, which is not likely.
Lakeside 31 Josey 13
Harlem (3-6, 3-5) at Westside (3-6, 2-6)
Last Week: Harlem whipped Josey 41-20; Westside lost to Glenn Hills 14-10
Westside really battled Glenn Hills hard last week in a close loss, while Harlem is hot of late. The Bulldogs are going for their third straight win, and their fourth victory in five games.
Harlem 27, Westside 13
Augusta Christian (8-3) vs. Wilson Hall (5-6); round one of the SCISA AAA playoffs
Last Week: ACS was shut out 42-0 by Hammond; Wilson Hall lost to Pinewood 24-21
The Lions will have a tough time getting back to the state title game, but they should win this one.
ACS 24, Wilson Hall 14
