The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce will give Grovetown business owners the opportunity Monday evening to showcase their products and services.

"We're calling this 'Spotlight on Grovetown,' " said Karen Chrjapin, the chamber's executive director. "Grovetown is an up and coming place. They've got tremendous growth out there and they're doing a lot exciting things."
The chamber is teaming up with the city of Grovetown and the Grovetown Merchants Association to hold their bi-monthly SuCCess Columbia County Style event for the first time in Grovetown. The event will take place 4-7 p.m. at Liberty Park Community Center on Newmantown Road.
"We're real excited, and Liberty Park is perfect for this kind of thing," Chrjapin said. "It's a very nice facility."
Last November, the Chamber held the meet-and-greet in Harlem at Red Oak Manor.
"We decided this year we needed to focus on Grovetown," she said. "We need to reach out to them."
Grovetown Merchants Association President Sonny McDowell said he's pleased that the Chamber is interested in Grovetown businesses.
"There is a new level of cooperation between the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce and the businesses in Grovetown," he said.
All types of businesses located in Grovetown were invited to set up a booth at the event and more than 20 businesses, including the Grovetown Merchants Association, are expected to participate.
"One of our efforts is to recruit new businesses to Grovetown," McDowell said.
"We're looking to see what type of Columbia County businesses are interested in the Grovetown market."
Dye's Southern Catering will provide food to the guests.
Admission is free for Chamber members to attend the event and costs $10 for non-chamber members.
