Military Milestones

- Air Force Airman 1st Class Demarious S. Beard , son of Dwight Merriweather, of Hephzibah, has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

- Army Pvt. Herman L. Cowart , a 2008 graduate of T.W. Josey High School and son of Herman Murphy and Martha Cowart, of Augusta, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia.

- Navy Seaman Brian J. Breeding , a 2008 graduate of Cross Creek High School and son of Sabine C. and James E. Singletary, of Hephzibah, has completed basic training with honors at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

- Air Force Airman 1st Class Shenita C. Little , a 2005 graduate of the Academy of Richmond County and daughter of Christina Lawson, of Augusta, has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

- Naquita L. Hayes , daughter of Roy W. Searles, of Hephzibah, has graduated from the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps Leader Development and Assessment Course at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash.

- Adrienne D. Stuckey , a 2005 graduate of Butler High School and daughter of Ronnie and Debra Stuckey, of Hephzibah, has graduated from the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps Leader's Training Course at Fort Knox, Ky.
