Quarterback Chad Chandler accounted for both touchdowns.

Chandler put the Panthers ahead with a 20-yard touchdown pass to C.J. Marshall on a third-down play. Lakeside, which has battled injuries all year, faced the same difficulties Friday.

"We had a lot of injuries," Lakeside coach Jody Grooms said. "Each time, we plugged somebody in there and they'd make a play."

Grooms' team improved to 4-3 overall and 3-3 in Region 3-AAAA.
