Many people believe pet owners look like their pets. On Saturday, Animania could test that assumption.

The annual Animania Pet Fair, which includes an owner-pet look-alike contest, will be held from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday at the Columbia County Memorial Gardens, behind the library in Evans.
Pet-training demonstrations will be featured, but owners are asked to keep their canines on leashes and their felines in pet carriers.
The free event also will include a pet costume contest, and the Rev. Cynthia Taylor will conduct a blessing of the animals. There will also be prizes, giveaways and a petting zoo.
Greyhound Friends of Augusta and other organizations will have pets available for adoption.
"We bring our greyhounds out so that way people can meet greyhounds and see what wonderful pets they make," said Jeanne McGee, of Greyhound Friends of Augusta.
The Humane Society will have pamphlets and T-shirts promoting the opening of its spay and neuter clinic under construction on Columbia Road.
