Achieving health in mind, body and spirit is all part of an Evans church health fair.

Gospel Water Branch Baptist Church will hold its annual health fair starting at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Yzonne Dent, the church's coordinator of the event said, "We are basically trying to educate the community and provide them with access to health care."
Vendors who will be there range from health professionals conducting blood pressure screenings to others selling May Kay cosmetics.
"A pharmacist from Eisenhower (Army Medical Center) will be coming out with different medication samples and some answers about medications if people have questions," said Dent.
"This event is important in reaching out to the community and bringing a myriad of folks to the community, instead of them having to go out in search of them (the many vendors at the event)."
Dent started organizing the event in January. She said that with the economy doing so poorly, coordinating this year's event has been a challenge.
"We are having a difficult time coordinating things this year, because a lot of the vendors don't have the funds to send people out on a Saturday," Dent said.
Last year's health fair attracted nearly 150 people, Dent said.
"Hopefully, we'll have the same turnout this year, if not better," she said.
