- Milton Ruben Chevrolet in Augusta will hold Chevy Pro Night 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Fishing fans can chat with Jimmy Houston, Larry Nixon, Luke Clausen, Kim Stricker, Dion Hibdon, Sondra Rankin and David Fritts. The anglers will sign autographs, pose for photos and offer advice. The first 100 fans will receive a free FLW Outdoors hat.
- Oct. 22-25: The FLW Series BP Eastern Division fishing tournament will be at Thurmond Lake's Wildwood Park in Appling. Registration is 1-4 p.m. Tuesday at Patriots Park Gym with a 4:30 p.m. pre-tournament meeting.
Takeoff is at 7:30 a.m. daily starting Wednesday; weigh-ins at 3 p.m. on days one, two and three at Wildwood; 4 p.m. on day four at Wal-Mart on Washington Road in Evans.
Ballers
The Ballers Youth Athletic Foundation will host its inaugural Hoop Fests on Dec. 7 at 3 p.m. The event will consist of eight teams of six players per team. Teams will compete to win gifts and prizes donated by local businesses in the name of charity. Volleyball meeting
CSRA Heat Volleyball Club will hold a parent information meeting for traveling teams and developmental clinics on Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. at Goodwin Commons at Augusta Prep. Tryouts will follow on Nov. 9 and 16. Girls will need to attend both tryouts to allow the coaches to best determine their placement on a team. Fall baseball
The newly formed CSRA Youth Baseball League is a fall competitive youth baseball league. The league is for players ages 7-18. Each team will play on Tuesdays and Thursdays through early November.

Turkey shoot
The Grovetown Lions Club annual turkey shoot will be held at 6 p.m. each Friday and Saturday until Dec. 13 on Old Louisville Road off Harlem-Grovetown Road. For information, call Dave Deckert at (706) 556-1649.
Coast Guard Auxiliary meets
