County needs to 'step back' from spending taxpayers into hole

Columbia County is digging a hole! They talk about a water park when they haven't finished Blanchard Woods Park. For years the sign said "Your tax dollars at work." Doing what? Nothing!

Everywhere you look there are strip malls going up and there aren't enough people to keep these places filled or going strong. The rent on these tiny stores is nuts! We have stores now for everything. It is just like what's happening across the U.S. There aren't enough dollars to keep everything afloat. When there are too many it keeps money and business spread so thin it will not work.

Property taxes are criminal, yet we are supposed to support our community. How? This situation is bad from the big cities to the bedroom communities, and if Columbia County doesn't slow down and re-think their plans this place will be another Richmond County where there are empty places everywhere you look.

Somewhere, someone is paying for these losses and it's now hitting our homes down to the visit to the grocery store. It is all about greed, and we need to take a step back and see what we are doing to our children's and grandchildren's futures.
