Aquatic center would be 'a tremendous asset to our community'

We encourage you to vote "yes" for the proposed bond referendum for the Columbia County aquatic and tennis center.

A facility of this magnitude would be a tremendous asset to our community because it would provide numerous opportunities for swimmers of all ages and abilities, and would also potentially generate a great deal of revenue for the county by hosting swim meets and tennis tournaments attended by hundreds of people living outside of the county.

What a great way to provide both recreational and competitive swimming opportunities to all the residents of Columbia County, and not just those willing to make the trek to Richmond County.

We encourage voters to attend the public informational meeting on Oct. 28 to learn more about this proposal.
