Reasons to support aquatic center include distance to Augusta's

I plan to vote "yes" for the aquatic and tennis center referendum for many reasons.

I have three children who swim in a summer league. One of my children would enjoy swimming year-round, but the drive to the Augusta Aquatic Center is too far to drive five days a week.

Another reason is my husband and I like to lap swim for exercise. Since we moved to Columbia County five years ago, we have been able to do laps only in the summer when our neighborhood pool is open because there is not a year-round pool in Columbia County.

I help run one of the childcare centers in Columbia County. Right now we drive every week in the summer to a water park on Wheeler Road. We would be able to use the water park here instead of driving to Augusta.

The aquatic and tennis center will be a great and useful addition to all that Columbia County has to offer!
