Softball tryouts

Meet Scott Winkler

A pancake supper will be held 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday at Sunrise Grill in Evans. Tickets are $7 in advance at the office of Champions Made From Adversity and $9 at the door. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet U.S. Paralympian Scott Winkler, with all proceeds benefiting local Paralympic programs.

Fall baseball

The newly formed CSRA Youth Baseball League is a fall competitive youth baseball league. The league is for players ages 7-18. Each team will play on Tuesdays and Thursdays through early November. Car show

The fifth annual Knights of Columbus Car Show will be held Oct. 25 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 4921 Columbia Road, Grovetown. Gates open at 9 a.m. for car registration and spectators. For pre-registration, call Don DeClue at (706) 394-7444 or e-mail declues@comcast.net.

Turkey shoot
