John D. Ballard , son of Elizabeth H. and Daniel C. Ballard of Evans, recently enlisted in the United States Navy under the Delayed Entry Program at Navy Recruiting District, Raleigh, N. C.

Jeremiah R. Francis, son of Patricia and Leeroy R. Francis of Evans, recently enlisted in the United States Navy under the Delayed Entry Program at Navy Recruiting District, Raleigh, N.C. Francis is a 2007 graduate of Greenbrier High School.

Training graduates

Zachary I. Slone has graduated from the Army ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) Leader's Training Course at Fort Knox, Ky. Slone is a student at Georgia Military College, Milledgeville. He is the son of Has and Fran M. Slone of Evans, and a 2006 graduate of Lakeside High School.

Navy Seaman Recruit Lucky Sabarillo , son of Nena and Didier J. Foucher of Evans, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Army Pfc. DeAmora L. Williams graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia. She is the daughter of Roberta Jenkins, of Grovetown, and a 2007 graduate of Harlem High School.

Army Reserve Pvt. Lorenzo S. Banks has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia. Banks is the son of Joe L. Banks, of Harlem, and a 2007 graduate of Harlem High School.
