Monday is the deadline for voters to register in time for the Nov. General Election. A voter registration drive will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. today at New Hope Worship Center, 715 Old Belair Road, Grovetown, Early voting is under way at the Columbia County Board of Elections Office, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday, at 500 Faircloth Drive, in Evans. Animal blessing

Octoberfest
American Legion Post 192, off Owens Road in Evans, will hold its annual Oktoberfest starting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, with plates for $5. A silent auction will be held starting at 1 p.m.
WWII vets sought
The Augusta-Richmond County Historical Society is seeking veterans of World War II for videotape interviews as part of the veterans history project. Volunteers to conduct the interviews also are needed. For information, call (706) 738-8242.
