Land sold, but Yount's store to remain

The property that houses Marc Yount's Tire and Auto Works recently was sold, but the store itself should remain in the same location for several more years.

"We have sold the acre of land that our store is on and our store, and we're leasing back from I-20 Investors," said owner Marc Yount. "I'm going to be here for five or six more years."

I-20 Investors LLC recently purchased the parcel of land at 4277-A Washington Road in Evans about four weeks ago for $895,000.

"All it was," Yount said, "was a transfer of property. We decided we wanted to cash out on our real estate."

Soon after selling that piece of property, Yount said he decided to put other real estate on the market as well.

"We have 3.05 acres that we're going to sell additionally," he said. "We put it on the market when we sold this piece."

The property has been on the market for two weeks and is already drawing some interest from buyers, Yount said.

The land, which extends back behind the store, is listed at $680,000 and includes 70 feet of frontage on Washington Road, he said.
