Fall baseball

The newly formed CSRA Youth Baseball League is a fall competitive youth baseball league. The league is for players ages 7-18. Each team will play on Tuesdays and Thursdays through early November. Softball tryout

Car show

The fifth annual Knights of Columbus Car Show will be held Oct. 25 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 4921 Columbia Road, Grovetown. Gates open at 9 a.m. for car registration and spectators. For pre-registration, call Don DeClue at (706) 394-7444 or e-mail declues@comcast.net.

Fishing tourney

Volunteers, boaters and donations are being sought for the second annual Take Our Troops Fishing event, to be held Oct. 25-26 at Wildwood Park in Appling. The event is sponsored by the Columbia County Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Community Military and Veterans Affairs Committee. Turkey shoot
