Augusta Christian coach Bruce Lane called his team resilient Friday night after the Lions defeated the Ben Lippen Falcons 48-41 in overtime.

"There were several times in the fourth quarter when they could've hung their heads," Lane said. "Our kids bounced back and did what they had to do."
The Lions scored three touchdowns in the first half, including two by senior defensive back William Banks. At the end of the first half, the Falcons trailed the Lions 20-6.
Ben Lippen then responded with three touchdowns in the second half, including one late in the fourth quarter that tied the score 27-27.
While the Lions ultimately won the game, Lane acknowledged the Falcons' potential.
"To their credit, Ben Lippen played hard," he said. "They are a force to be reckoned with."
The Lions will play just two more home games this season, including one Friday against Heathwood Hall.
