Congratulations to Wade Padgett for appointment to judgeship

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I extend congratulations to Columbia County Chief Magistrate Judge Wade Padgett on his appointment by Gov. Sonny Perdue as Superior Court judge in the Augusta Judicial Circuit.

Padgett's many years of experience in private law practice, as an assistant district attorney and as a Magistrate Court judge will serve him well in his new position.

We wish him well and thank him for accepting this responsibility to serve the public and the justice system.
