A drop-off container for recycling plastic is now available at the Columbia County Government Complex. Telephone book recycling bins also are available until Aug. 31.

School supplies

Washington Commons retirement community, in conjunction with the Columbia County Sheriff's Office, is accepting donations of cash, gift cards or school supplies for underprivileged children.
