Army Pvt. Angel M. Rodriguez has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia. He is the brother of Miguel Rodriguez of Harlem, and a 2001 graduate of Harlem High School.

Army Reserve Sgt. Donna B. Quinn has been mobilized and activated for deployment overseas to a forward operating base in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The sergeant, a member of the military police with three years of military service, is normally assigned to the 340th Military Police Company, Queens, N.Y. She is the daughter of David H. and Myong S. Quinn of Martinez. Quinn graduated in 1997 from Lakeside High School and received a bachelor's degree in 2003 from John Jay College in New York, N.Y.

Navy Seaman Recruit Timothy T. Allen , son of Tina and Terry J. Coleman of Evans, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Allen is a 2005 graduate of Greenbrier High School.

Army Reserve Pfc. Thomas E. Robinson has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia. He is the son of Aundrea Robinson of Martinez, and a 2007 graduate of Lakeside High School.

Marine Corps Pvt. Jacob D. Dorn, son of Stella M. and David L. Dorn of Appling, recently completed 12 weeks of basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C.

Navy Seaman Mary Okwubunka, stepdaughter of Robert O. Patrick of Houston, Texas, and niece of Evelyn I. Ladepo of Evans, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill., with honors.

David J. Green has graduated from the Army ROTC Leader's Training Course at Fort Knox, Ky.

Green is the son of Hui Suk and stepson of James H. Green of Grovetown, and a 2003 graduate of Evans High School.

Army Pvt. Joey B. Gaskin has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.

Gaskin is the son of Tamera Gaskin of Evans.

Richard L. Moneypenny, son of Richard Moneypenny, of Grovetown, recently enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps under the Delayed Entry Program with Marine Corps Recruiting Station in Columbia.

Army Pvt. Justin T. Ledwig has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.

Ledwig is the son of Troy Ledwig of Appling.

Army Pvt. Joseph D. Whitaker has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia.

He is the son of Leonard Whitaker of Harlem, and a 2007 graduate of Augusta Technical College.
