Bassmaster, which dropped Clarks Hill Lake from its 2009 tournament schedule in an effort to visit new venues, will return to Columbia County's Wildwood Park for another Elite Series tour stop in 2010, according to tournament officials.

In an announcement in Las Vegas last week detailing the pro tour's schedule for both 2009 and 2010, BASS vice president and general manager Tom Ricks said the "Pride of Georgia at Clarks Hill Lake" will be held May 20-23, 2010.

"This is the first time BASS has simultaneously released two years of Elite Series schedules," Ricks said.

More than 5,400 people attended the four-day Bassmaster tournament in May, where $670,000 in prize money was awarded. In its four consecutive years of being hosted by Columbia County, it has become one of the region's biggest recreation events, according to tourism officials.
