Our endorsements in Tuesday's election

It is the policy of The Columbia County News-Times to evaluate local candidates and offer to our readers the benefit of our careful consideration by voicing our opinions on those candidates.

We pledge to our readers that we have no hidden ties to any of the candidates whom we do or do not recommend. Accordingly, The News-Times will not offer an endorsement in the race for the 3rd District seat on the Columbia County Commission.

We also pledge that this newspaper's editorial recommendations are made in what we believe are the best interests of our community.

If you have not already voted by absentee ballot or advance vote, please remember to cast your vote Tuesday, July 15.
