Columbia County's Family Movie Matinees are held at 1 p.m. each Wednesday at the Jabez Sanford Hardin Performing Arts Center, with Racing Stripes today, Bridge to Terabithia , July 16; Chicken Little , July 23; and Walt Disney's The Wild , July 30. Sales tax sessions
The Columbia County Commission will continue its meetings for public input on ideas for capital projects to be funded in the 2011-16 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax renewal referendum with sessions at 6 p.m. Thursday at the government complex auditorium and at 6 p.m. July 17 at the Appling courthouse. Safe sitters
