Holt memorial

A 10-year candlelight memorial service for Dave Holt, the Sams Club manager abducted and killed during a robbery in 1998, will be held at 9:30 p.m. Monday in the parking lot of Sams Club on Bobby Jones Expressway.

Archaeology camp

Sales tax meetings

The Columbia County Commission will hold a series of meetings to seek public input for capital projects to be funded in the 2011-2016 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax referendum. The meetings will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Jabez Sanford Hardin Performing Arts Center; 6 p.m. July 10 in the county auditorium in Evans; and at 6 p.m. July 17 at the Appling courthouse.

Movie series

MCGHealth Children's Medical Center's Movies Under the Stars series will conclude Saturday at the Columbia County amphitheater in Evans with Shrek the Third . Gates open at 7 p.m.; tickets cost $2 for adults, $1 for children ages 13-younger. Call (706) 721-5736.
