Writers meet

CSRA Writers will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 1336 Augusta West Parkway. Writers needing a support group are invited to attend and bring eight copies of a manuscript to be critiqued. For information, call Steve Fox at (706) 836-7315.

Pottery camp

Sierra Club

Dr. Hauke Busch of the chemistry department at Augusta State University will present a program, "Sustainability, Global Warming, and Humanity" at the June meeting of the Sierra Club, 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Unitarian Universalist Church, Walton Way Extension. Air Force ball

Archaeology camp

Alzheimer's event

The Alzheimer's Association will hold a free workshop, "Dementia Care Training for Family Caregivers," from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Gordon Club at Fort Gordon. Lunch will be provided; registration is required. For information, call (706) 731-9060.

Boating safety

Camp meeting

The White Oak United Methodist Campground summer camp meeting will be held June 22-27, with services at 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily. The campground is located on White Oak Road at Wrightsboro Road, five miles east of Pumpkin Center.
