GreenJacket event

Garden series

The Columbia County Extension Service Gardening at Lunch series for 2008 continues from 12:10-12:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Columbia County library with extension agent Charles Phillips conducting a session on gardening for children. For information, call (706) 868-3413.

Junior Rangers

Mistletoe State Park's Junior Ranger program will be held from 9 a.m.-noon Tuesday-Thursday. Pre-registration is required; cost is $50. For information, call the park office at (706) 541-0321.

Voter deadline

June 16 at 5 p.m. is the deadline for registration for the July 15 primary election. For information, call the Columbia County Board of Elections at (706) 868-3355.

Summer program

The Columbia County Foundation for Children is holding a summer community service program for students of high-school age willing to complete a minimum of 10 hours through Aug. 8. Scholarships
